Rodial Super Food Cleanser
So after months of pinning over the sophisticated and scientific benefits of the Rodial Collection, I finally went in a bought the product I had been recommended by a number of people. Available in Selfidges with a few products sold on Asos, the Rodial Superfood cleanser has been a game changer for me. To be completely honest, I cannot visually see signs of the benefits, but before bed or after long day of travelling underground, the cleanser has such a smooth, think and luxurious consistency, like a heavy cream to rub in circular motions all over your face and neck for a deep cleanse. If you are feeling particularly lazy, it works really well as a make-up remover as well and the smell is a dream. The product is a very generous size that will last forever and comes with a very handy muslin cloth to put under warm water and wipe away the product.

Muslin cloths have been talk of the beauty industry recently as a more natural exfoliater , moving away from micro beads and harsh scrubs that actually can make flare ups and redness worse and can just be too rough for the delicate and sensitive skin on your your face. This product leaves your skin actually clean and free of all make-up and chemicals, super super soft and with a feeling like you have just had a facial. It also adds moistures that is needed to hydrate your skin at night, which is when your face has the most time to restore and renew.
If you are not convinced yet, you could always go a purchase the mini Rodial Superfood set that comes with the full range of products that are perfect for travelling and to test of the products yourself.

Super Acids – x-treme Acid Rush Peel
Next up from the same brand (serious loving for Rodial at the moment) is the Super Acid Rush Peel , which sounds toxic and slightly too harsh for your cosy night in watching a bit of Bridget Jones and munching on popcorn right? but, this has got to be one of the lightest most efficient peels I have ever used. It may be more commonly used as an anti ageing mask, but it is never too early to start using anti ageing products after you hit 21 as they are mostly preventative. It definitely brightens and resurfaces the skin to leave an even base with a youthful glow, so how can you complain.

Kiels Avocado Eye Cream
I bought this again and will probably keep buying it till I finally decide to succumb to the fact I am slowly ageing to need to actually invest in a proper eye cream, but for now, when late nights, stressful work and general tiredness are a regular occurrence, this rich and creamy Avocado Eye Cream makes the perfect product to restore life and colour back to my eyes. It doesn't visually remove dark circles or bags (I leave that to my foundation), but adds moisture with its natural Avocado Oil, Shea Butter and Beta-Carotene. To be completely honest, I find this product a bit of a novelty as it doesn’t seem to add anything significant to my eyes apart from overnight moisture and with the feeling that it brightens and reduces my sleep eyes in the morning. So, for hefty £20 for a tiny pot, I am pretty to sure I can find a cream of better value and results.

Rituals, Yogi Flow foaming shower foam
Rituals has gift written all over it. It’s not something I would choose to buy for daily use, but makes the perfect gift for someone, to add a bit of luxury into their lives. When I was offered the chance to purchase a small scale version of the Indian Rose and Sweet Almond shower foam, I couldn't say no as this would make showering at the gym after an early morning session a tad bit more relaxing and elegant. The texture is so so smooth on the skin you just want to sit in a bath of the stuff and re-enact the Herbal Essence advert... after a rather sweaty and strenuous gym session it leaves your skin ultra smooth, relaxed and smelling great. Could you ask for anything better from your shower wash?

Philosophy, Purity 2 in one face wash
I have written about this product before and I have stuck by it for nearly two years because it is the perfect daily cleanser. The thing that I find so great is that it comes in such varying sizes to accommodate your needs; gym bag, holiday, stocking up on the big stuff and the size for 'I got no moneys, but still don't want to give up my style of life' situation. I used to use my face cleansers as an in shower ritual, which this works great for, but on certain days when I have more time or would like a deeper cleanse after the gym, I tend to dry wash my face with the cleanser, adding a tiny bit of water to allow it to form a foam like consistency and I massage it in for about 30 seconds in circular motions. I finish off by giving my face a lukewarm rinse using my hands or sometimes my muslin cloth before I pat it dry. 3 things to note: Always pat dry, to reduce irritation to delicate skin, secondly, wash in circular motions because it feels great and massages the skin, getting deep into the pores and thirdly, rinse off with lukewarm water. Too hot and your face will go red, too cold and that's just not nice.

Anyone used these products before or have any recommendations?

Ok, so for one of the most stressful weeks ever, I managed to take one evening off to do something so so me, but have no expectations or even a location for that matter. I heard about the pop-up tree house in South Bank, but no where online did it say where it was hidden. A real guessing game!

So after a tiresome and draining Thursday, I opted to visit the tree house over going home to sit, chill and catch up on some reading and TV. Got to say, it was the best decision I made all week. It lifted my spirits, took me somewhere weird and wonderful, which is always a delight and reminded me of the things I loved, in the city I loved and that everything was always going to be ok. just funny it took a trip to a tree house to realise.

So, what is it and why is it there you wonder? Well, thanks to the people of Virgin and the magical creative agencies, we were exposed to the tree house to #DreamBigger by Virgin Holidsys promoting their experiential luxe holidays and what better way to do that by opening up an pop up in the middle of south bank overlooking the best of London with a cute woodland bar beneath the cosiest, most luxurious bedroom and lounging area.

2 super lucky couples entered the competition online to win a night at the tree house with dinner provided by a Michelin chef and an evening of wondrous adventures inside this fun filled space. This is my all time dream! I wanted one as a kid, I still want one now as the ultimate escape from life. UH-MAZING.

Unfortunately, the pop-up was only a three day event, but what an experience!

It's why I love advertising! Anything is possible!

I have almost completed my first 'Your Tea' experience after falling in love with the branding and packaging I found on Instagram. I opted to go for the Skin Magic Tea as it was the only tea that I felt was different to anything else on the market and plus I read some super positive reviews. I can't say my natural complexion is anyway near perfect and is something that has always been an issue for me despite my seriously increased water intake, lack of over greesy over salty foods and prevention of refined sugar.

I worked out it is an unfortunate hormone imbalance and reaction to stress, I needed to find a way of managing. So I started taking the teas twice a day but found it difficult with my constant eating battles to find a food free half an hour to drink my teas. Coming towards the end of my pretty little box, I have worked out the perfect time. I drink my first tea on my way to work while on the train and reading to keep me hydrated before breakfast. The second tea usually comes in somewhere between lunch and afternoon snack at 3:30, or just before I leave work.

The taste... now, mixed reviews here.I am a huge herbal tea drinker, but this is more of an earthy taste, with a very strange, almost medicated after taste. It isn't bad at all and also not the nicest tea I have ever tried but it will suffice if I know it is doing something to better me.

I can't say I have noticed a huge difference in the appearance, but there is a general smoothness to the skin, which allows my make-up to sit more smoothly and last through out the day. I would like to day it had a difference to the appearance of blemishes, but it hasn't made it significantly apparent. I have however, upped my intake of water from 2litres to 4 on training days, which would naturally make a difference, plus I have kept to a very strict and simple skin regime both in the morning and evening with regular face masks with my new favourite skin care brand Rodial, so it is hard to tell really. Unlike my experience with Boo Tea, this definitely is a more positive move and I will be purchasing my second round of the tea for another 6 weeks

Weekday nights can be hard! One brain channel follows on from education, that Monday to Friday is a school night or in this case work night and you should do your 'homework' and get an early night. My more prominent brain channel keeps telling me what I know so well that we should make every day significant and memorable and that we only live once so why not and go wild over a leather purse making class hey?

So on a Tuesday night my main man and myself joined Luxury bag designer KUKU for an evening of wine, leather and late night sewing I can officially say I have a new found respect for designers and hand made products. I could only take a couple of hours sewing what is now my amazing little leather purse, so I couldn't imagine doing that all day everyday. I went home feeling exhausted, frustrated and in a lot of pain but after getting over my self pitty, I walked away a proud women owning my personalised luxury coin and card holder, working that clean line, monochrome look!

It was a great to meet such wonderful people from all walks of life, sipping on a glass of red, whilst attempting to hand sew through leather - try it, it's hard! So huge thank you to KUKU and to the Hoxton at the new Holborn hotel for a skill infused workshop and one thing ticked of my list of things to do this year.

What better way to send off Christmas than with a final bit of overindulgence, immersing myself in my last chalet style dining experience of 2015. As we welcome in the new year it's heads down for me to reign back in that diet and level of fitness I once had. I like to start the year all refreshed and revitalised, a few words that you will probably be hating right now. I'll be kicking back with lots of movies, box sets and catching up with Serial, the podcast everyone has been raving on about, while I cut out my daemons called Alcohol and Sugar.

So far it has been a great start, 5 days back at work with 3 litres of water a day, no sugar, no drinking and some major clean eating going on with help from 2 of my colleague who have decided to jump on the bandwagon and sign up to the body coach. Ok so the 'lean' talk can get slightly monotonous, but I am grateful  have people to keep me on track and grounded, so I'm not riding solo as a I wean back off SUGARRRR!

So back to my last and one of my favourite meals of 2015, I took a second trip back up to Forest on the Roof at Selfridge's making my way through all those sales shoppers, frantically buying anything and everything. It felt like that scene in mean girls, you know the one where Cady visualises the school canteen as a bunch of animals at the zoo?...yeah that one! I had to stop my eye gaze over the MAC counter, stop my hands from picking up that Moschino Mirror phone case as 1, I don't have an iPhone and 2, becuase it was only £10, an absolute bargain!

After making it up the fancy lift and in the serenity of the forest and chic chalet style with a slight breeze from the wind outside, it was like heaven! I am a sucker for rooftops of any kind or style in any and every country I visit - it's a given. Topped with my meal of the day, breakfast! A stilton cheese fondue followed by Poached eggs and a  smashed avocado crumpet. I mean, I could have sat there for hours eating a load more  and just taking it all in, but unfortunately I was all cheesed out and physically needed to walk before I just burst. The aesthetic on this day was so unusual with such a chill to the air and beaming sun, it was hard to imagine we were in the middle of London let alone in Selfridges. If you haven’t already been, it is severely picture worthy with amazing food! Go take a look!

I am very grateful for my job being based in one of the best areas of London. Shoreditch/Old Street and the whole of East London is pretty much a constant change of excitingness. New bars, pop up shops and an unlimited supply of culinary experiences in unexpected streets of Shoreditch.

Working in Shoreditch and spending my weekends there too can be amazing to really get to know the best places in the area and visit all the restaurants and bars I didn’t get the chance to in the week. But It can be a nightmare to get home from and to travel back to the ghettos of North London for 45mins, so when given the opportunity to visit  my fave The Hoxton Hotel and cosy up in one of the Hotxon concept rooms, how could I say no!

In the style of an urban country cottage, the room was painted a fiery red with a combination of vintage 70’s furnishing and futuristic raw metal. A cylinder glass tube for a shower in the centre of the room, an infinity bed  dressed with a quilted picnic throw, a vintage luggage trunk for a cupboard how I could I dare to leave this dream?? Room service, a wide screen tv, endless teas and coffees and to top it all off I had Christmas Movies on repeat. In my element!

Oh and let's not forget me sporting my new fancy Skagen watch; my first and only Black Friday purchase of the year. I have had my eyes on this for two years now, trying to avoid all Larsson & Jennings and Daniel Wellington watches, so my wrist feels bloody good and finally complete to have those sleek lines, thin straps and a face so beautiful. I have never really been a watch person aside from my vintage Casios (now selling on my Depop: sklbuys) and now I am obsessed! My eyes are set on all watches out there...8)
