UNDERSTATED

With fashions biggest, busiest, skinniest & definitely most tiring week approaching (yeah thats London Fashion Week) it's time to start thinking style. Comfier the better, or in many peoples cases outlandish & just purely just weird outfits to takeover the scene in the all important courtyard space of Somerset House.

No, that is not what i'll be doing, instead along with my fellow colleagues I will be attending any shows & events FlashTrash is worthy of & meeting blogger friends, or just friends for drinks of course. Oh and getting our share of street style looks as content for the company blog.

While many go along with the looks they see on the catwalk, I tend to think twice about the inspirations behind collections. The style, texture, material & anything it may resemble is one thing, but the animals, buildings, previous trends or era that may be edging back is key. The BFC have begun to collate the inspirations behind AW14 here.

ALL ABOUT IZZY BLOW

Honouring an extraordinary life of a  figure that pretty much killed it in the fashion world & brought so much life and energy to the publications & editorials that she was part of. Isabella Blow is the talk in industry right now, supported by the wonderfully curated exhibition at Somerset house.

After some context known about Isabella Blow, the series of images, film & stories told about such a prominent figure became so much more appreciated than just simply reading about a figure. My personal reasoning behind visiting galleries & exhibitions.

If there was one thing that struck me hard was a deep similarity between Isabella & 21st century extrovert Lady Gaga (aka Stefani Germanotta). The style, the look & the far from normal attitude towards life. It seems I have figured out the mastermind behind all the Lady Ga Ga antics.

If you get the chance + love fashion.. go!
